Journal your Christmas

updating this album.
No pages done but the journalling is up to date

Day 19
A letter to Santa
Dear santa I have missed you!
All those years I haven't been ignoring you just the boys have decided they don't want photos anymore, I know it is sad when they grow up but they can't stay small and young forever can they?
Anyway onto me: I would love
a couple of books, reading and cooking
some scrapbooking supplies
some funky shoes, bag and clothes
new pyjamas
a trip to the hairdressers
a nicer camera bag than the very functional one that Dave bought
a new phone (a touch screen one so I can slide my phone like everyone else)
oh and happy, healthy children dog and husband
Love you always
Lianne

Day 20
Nicole and I send a parcel every year, we have been getting a bit slack on the delivery though
Never mind they will arrive

Day 21
A pic of the house lights

where does the time go

it's already the 9th of January!
have i been sleeping?
Dave and I went out for lunch yesterday to the Dunes restaurant in Wolongong right on the beach, no I didn't take my camera because we had to get Dave some grown up shoes before we went. He decided he couldn't wear joggers or thongs to teh restaurant. hehe about time!
We bought a voucher from one of the discountgroups for a seafood platter for two with a bottle of wine for $59, value $149. It was lovely although with the seafood available here why would a top restaurant buy seafood from other areas, the lobster was not an eastern lobster and it was dry and tough, the rest was delicious.

Happy 2012

well maybe I am a bit late but Happy New Year to you!
I had a great new years eve, we went to the club only for a while.... hehehe the band was great the vodka was delicious and the dancing was fun. The alarm at 5 the next morning was rude and work dragged on but it was all self inflicted so no complaints.

what are your resolutions for the year ahead? wether they are craft or self related.
I plan to do 100 layouts and make 100 cards, I might even send christmas cards this year it got away from me at the end.
I want to do 2 embroideries and make 2 quilts.
I plan to go to the gym at least 3 times a week even in winter.
I am going to be organised and healthy.
I am going to blog regularly
I am going to try the photo a day

Bad news yesterday Brad lost his job so no apprenticeship for him if he can't find at least 30 hours work a week he will have to go back to school.Stupid boss had work at Jamberoo which would be a 15 minute drive from the railway station, he said he would pick Brad up on the road here then changed his mind and wouldn't tell him who else was working so he couldn't organise a lift. then he said Brad was disrespectful because he asked if his pay would be on time twice, well gee I thought respect was earned. He doesn't know what he has done, workcover will be at his job sites every week now.
Never mind.

well hopefully we will see Grant, Renee, Max and Joel. We will definately see Irene, Bert, Sarah, Brett and little Leilani. Apart from that I have no idea.
We stopped spending the day with the others in the family a couple of years ago, they didn't enjoy it so we just go to Irenes now and have a great day.

December 16.
I am grateful for..........
Healthy children and grandchildren,
I am pleased that I get to spend at least part of Christmas Day with them
I am so happy that Dave and I enjoy each others company and that he tolerates my dumb, weird, selfish family

December 17
I love Christmas shopping for friends and family. I love trying to think what to get each person, sometimes what is in my head as the perfect thing is not in the shops. I really enjoy making things for presents, I only did a couple this year, way too busy.
When I was looking for a present for dave for our anniversary I saw all sorts of ideal presents for others and then when I went looking again nope they weren't there, so hopefully I got some of it right.

December 18
what's for lunch on Christmas day?
I can't remember what Irene and I worked out. I suggested seafood but Irene can't eat shellfis. I think we settled for roast lamb or pork and I will bring the ham as usual. I am making the mixed berry semi freddo. mmmmm yummo

Journal my christmas Catch up

December 6
I remember spending Christmas in Forbes in 1984, with Irene and Bert. It was the first time I had ever been away from my family at Christmas.
Irene had their tree in the lounge room and Grant and I had a little tree in our room. Santa was limited that year as he didn't have many places to shop, no Kmart or Big W or even a toyworld in forbes.
We rang home to wish mum a merry Christmas and while we were talking on the phone we could see some kangaroos jumping down the main street. Very funny sight.
Another christmas was the first christmas at Molloy st. I think it was our secnd married. We had very little money. I hired videos and Barrie copied them to give to Dave for a present. All Grant got was a surf t shirt and a super soaker. We filled it with iced water from the esky and squirted him haha.

December 7
We got a surprise present from work today, a giftcard for working well up to and including accreditation week. What a surprise.

December 8
I have almost got every present that I want to get for christmas this year. I just have to get something for Grant and a few little things for Dave, Shane and Brads stockings.

It was so much easier when the kids were smaller and they wanted almost everything in the toy catalogues, Now they don't get christmassy at all.

December 9
When we were young Ern would always come over on Christmas eve and take us for a drive up to Mt Keira or Flagstaff Hill to see the "fairy lights" which was just the street lights in the city as there were no houses decorated then like there is now,. Little did we know that he had brought all santas stash for us and put it on the front verandah and then when we went to bed mum and dad moved it in under the tree....sneaky!!!!

December 10
Gift Wrap- this years paper is silver and blue which I bought after christmas last year, this year the colours I went for on the tree are silver and blue.... who knew

December 11
Christmas Tree oh christmas tree
Last year we didn't bother putting the tree up and I did miss it but the lounge room was so small, this year the tree is up with a few new decorations and a few old ones

December 12
Christmas past
I remember being so excited because Irene and Bert were coming home for christmas.... Irene made Lynne and I some groovy clothes for a present and santa had brought us a huge doll each. Mine with brown hair and Lynnes blonde of course.
I can also remember the stress mum was in getting a roast turkey and chicken dinner with cold ham and all the vegies on the table for lunch in the sweltering heat, every year she sould vow that the next year she was going to the beach for the day but she never did.
